And it’s not always a baseball. If you are lucky, it may only cause a small chip. If you are unlucky, then you have a crack across the whole of the windshield, and the only answer is a new windshield.
Even if you only have a small chip, it needs to be fixed because, if you leave it as it is, then it can easily develop into a crack. You think to yourself that it’s only a small chip, so you’ll get it fixed at the weekend. By the weekend you have a crack and instead of a minor repair you need a new windshield.
